I just had a chest X-ray done and it came negative for TB. I don't really want this treatment if is not really necessary.

↪The antibiotic used for this purpose is called isoniazid.

↪when taken for six to 12 months, it will prevent the TB from becoming active in the future.

↪when a person with a positive skin test does not take INH.

↪there is only a 5% to 10% lifelong risk that the TB will become active.
