Given,

Principal Quantum number (n) = 3

Thus, The Possible values of 'l' (Azimuthal Quantum number) is 0,1,2.

Now, From this we can determine the numbers of Orbitals in each orbits.

∴ 0 = 1 Orbital = 2 Electrons. [s-orbital]

1 = -1,0,1 = 3 Orbital = 3 × 2 = 6 electrons. [p-orbital]

2 = -2,-1,0,1,2 = 5 Orbital = 5 × 2 = 10 electrons. [d-orbital]

Total numbers of the Electrons = 2 + 6 + 10 = 18 electrons.

Hope it helps.
