Given: n + n/2 + n/4 + n/8 = 45

To find: the value of n.

Answer:

LCM: 8

n = n/1 = n/1*8/8 = 8n/8

n/2 = n/2*4/4 = 4n/8

n/4 = n/4*2/2 = 2n/8

Now adding everything,

8n/8 + 4n/8 + 2n/8 + n/8 = 45

15n/8 = 45

15n = 45*8

15n = 360

n = 360/15

n = 24

Hope it helps :)
