Mineral Oil or petroleum is a non renewable source of energy. Its exhaustion will have a great impact on the finances and economies of various countries. Transportation will come to a halt which will severely affect our lifestyle. It will also affect the agricultural and manufacturing sectors which may lead to the scarcity of various essential products and even food grains.However, according to various sources, efforts are being made to harness and utilise renewable sources of energy like sunlight, wind, tidal and geothermal energy. It is expected that in future with a greater technological innovation these sources will be able to replace non renewable resources.
