Question :

If one angle of a triangle is 60 and the other two angles are in the ration 2:3, find

these angles ?

Answer :

\sf\pink{Given:}

  • measure of one angle is 60°

  • ratio of the measures of others two angles is 2:3 .

\sf\pink{To\:Find:}

  • measure of the remaining two angles ?

Explanation :

  • let the other two angles be 2x and 3x respectively .

Rule :

sum of all angles of the triangle is 180°

\longrightarrow\bf{ 60 + 2x + 3x = 180}

\longrightarrow\bf{ 60 + 5x = 180}

\longrightarrow\bf{ 5x = 180 - 60}

\longrightarrow\bf{ 5x = 120}

\longrightarrow\bf{ x = \dfrac{120}{5}}

\longrightarrow\bf{ x = 24 }

  • Value of x is 24 .

Second angle = 2x

\longrightarrow\bf{ 2\times 24}

\longrightarrow\bf{48°}

  • Therefore the measure of one of the other angles is 48°

Third angle = 3x

\longrightarrow\bf{ 3\times 24}

\longrightarrow\bf{ 72}

  • Measure of the remaining angle is 72°
