given one zero is 1/2 so we put this value in x of the equation:

2 (1/2) 2 + 3 ( 1/2) + k = 0

2* 1/4 + 3/2 + k = 0

1/2 + 3/2 + k = 0

4/2 + k = 0

2 + k = 0

k = -2
