Answer:

sum of zeroes = -b/a

a=3

b=10

one zero = 5/3

5/3+x=-[-10]/3

5/3+x=10/3

x=5/3

so the other zero is 5/3

Given :   One of the zeroes of quadratic polynomial 3x² - 10x - m is 5/3

then find other zero

To Find :

Solution:

Polynomial ax² + bx + c

Sum of zeroes = - b/a

Product of zeroes = c/a

3x² - 10x - m  compare with

ax² + bx + c

a = 3

b = - 10

c = -m

Sum of zeroes = - (-10)/3  = 10/3

One of zero = 5/3

Other zero = 10/3 - 5/3  = 5/3

Other zero is also  5/3

Additional Info :

product of zero = -m/3  = (5/3)(5/3)

=> m = - 25/3
