In 1 minute pipe A can fill = 1/20 of tank

In 1 minute pipe B can fill = 1/30 of tank

In 1 minute they both can fill =
 \frac{1}{20}  +  \frac{1}{30}  \\   \\ =  \frac{3 + 2}{60}  \\  =  \frac{5}{60}  \\  =  \frac{1}{12}
In 1 minute together they can fill 1/12 of tank

So Time required to fill whole tank
= 1 ÷ 1/12
= 1 × 12
= 12 minutes

Hope it helps dear friend ☺️✌️✌️

solution;

  \frac{1}{t}  = \frac{1}{20}  +  \frac{1}{30}  \\  =  \frac{3 + 2}{60} =  \frac{5}{60} \\  =  \frac{1}{12}  \\  =  > t = 12 \: minutes
