The value of k= -18 and other root is -9

jaswanth790: how did u get the roots
Rehyan: by putting 2 in place of x we can get the value of k and now frame an equation and the factoize it to achieve the oter root.

x²+7x+k=0 Given one root is 2 Put x=2 in eq given: => (2)^2+7(2)+k=0 => 4+14+k=0 => k=-18 So equation will be : x^2+7x-18=0 X^2+9x-2x-18=0 => x(x+9)-2(x+9)=0 => (x+9)(x-2) So other root will be (-9)
