SOLUTION :

Option (d) is correct : 1

Let α be the one root  of the equation and β be the other root .

Given : 2x² + kx + 4 = 0  , α = 2

On comparing the given equation with ax² + bx + c = 0

Here, a = 2 , b = k , c = 4

Product of zeroes = c/a

α × β = c/a

2 ×  β = 4/2

2β = 2

β = 2/2

β = 1

Hence, the other root of  the equation is β = 1.
