if one-third of 6 kg of apples became rotten and were thrown.how many apples are left for consumption?

Fraction of apples that were thrown away=1/3
Fraction of apples left for consumption= 1-1/3 =2/3
Therefore, number of apples left for consumption = two third of the total = (2/3)×6 kg = 4 kg


Ans: 4kg apples are left for consumption
