why can' t sea water be used for irrigation purposes

Because it is saline and it will increase composition of salt in soil

ritwik5: if we see many salts are present in sea water and no essential mineral is present and the plant cannot remove salts and it will die

Salt is harmful to crops and sea water is made up of salt thus we cannot use it
