4x² - ( 8k ² - 40k )x - 9
Solution :-
Let one zero be y .
So , other zero = ( - y ) .
Now ,
sum of zeroes = - ( b ) / a
So ,
y + ( - y ) = - [ - ( 8k² - 40k ) ] / 4
=> 8k² - 40k = 0
=> 8k ( k - 5 ) = 0
Now ,
if 8k = 0
then k = 0.
And ,
if ( k - 5 ) = 0
then k = 5
