Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let a and b are the zeros,

Then according to the question

b = 7a

By the relationship between zeros and coefficient of a quadratic polynomial

sum of zeroes a + b = 8/3

a + 7a = 8/3

8a = 8/3

a = 1/3

Then the zeroes are 1/3 and 7/3.

Also product of zeroes ab = (2k+1)/3

1/3 × 7/3 = (2k+1)/3

7/9 = (2k+1)/3

21/9 = 2k +1

7/3 = 2k+1

(7/3)-1 = 2k

4/3 = 2k

K = 4/6 = 2/3
