as one zero of polynomial is -4 , so itcsatifies it

Now, put x=-4 in polynomial and equate it with zero
x²-(2+2k)x
(-4)²⁻(2+2k)(-4)=0
16+8-8k=0
8k=24
k=3

one zero of the quadratic polynomial x²-x(2+2k) is -4 ....
Put X=-4
p(-4)= (-4)²-(-4)(2+2k) =0
16+4(2+2k)=0
16+8+8k=0
8k=-16-8
8k=-24
k=-24/8
k=-3
