Step-by-step explanation:

x^2+3x+k=2

x^2+3x+(k-2)=0

compare to ax^2+bx+c

a=1 b= 3 c= (k-2)

By formula metthod

b^2-4ac

(3)^2-4 x 1 x (k-2)

9 -4(k-2)=0

9-4k+2=0

10-4k=0

10=4k

10/4=k

k=5/2
