Heya !!

P ( X ) = 0

2X² - 8X - M = 0

P(5/2 ) = 2 × (5/2)² - 8 × 5/2 - M = 0

=> 2 × 25/4 - 20 - M = 0

=> 25/2 - 20 - M = 0

=> 25 - 40 - 2M = 2 × 0

=> -2M - 15 = 0

=> 2M = 15

=> M = 15/2

P ( X ) = 2X² - 8X - 15/2

Here,

A = 2 , B = -8 and C = -15/2

Sum of zeroes = -B/A

5/2 + Other zero = 4

Other zero = 4 - 5/2

Other zero = 8 - 5/2 = 3/2
