6

SOLUTION:-

Given

One zero = 6

Quadratic equation = x²-5x-6x

To find

Other zero

Explanation

Let the other zero = α

Then ,

Sum of zeros = -b/a

= -(-5/1)

= 5

(6+ α)= 5

α= 5-6

α=-1

Other zero be -1

Answer:

-1

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the zero be a

S (Sum of Zeroes)= -b/a

                             =-(-5/1)

                            =5

Therefore,  6+a = 5

                 a=5-6

                 a = -1

     The other zero is -1.
