only some organisms like bacteria, yeast, moulds, etc can reproduce through asexual reproduction. others like humans, animals can reproduce only through sexual reproduction. there is need of sexual reproduction because it is the only way for mixing up of the maternal and paternal chromosomes resulting in innumerable variations in the progeny
