Given : p(-1,1) Q(3,-4), R(1,-1) S(-2,-3) and T(-4,4) are plotted on the graph paper

To find : points in the second quadrant

Solution :

Points in 1st Quadrant   x  coordinate is + ve and y coordinate is + ve

Points in 2nd Quadrant   x  coordinate is - ve and y coordinate is + ve

Points in 3rd Quadrant   x  coordinate is  - ve and y coordinate is - ve

Points in 4th Quadrant   x  coordinate is + ve and y coordinate is - ve

P(-1,1)  has x  coordinate is - ve and y coordinate is + ve

so P lies in 2nd Quadrant

T(-4,4)   has x  coordinate is - ve and y coordinate is + ve

so T lies in 2nd Quadrant

Hence P & T lies in 2nd Quadrant
