\text {Mid point = } \bigg( \dfrac{x1 + x2}{2}, \dfrac{y1 + y2}{2} \bigg)

The two points are A(6, -5) and B(-2, -11):

\text {Mid point = } \bigg( \dfrac{6 - 2}{2}, \dfrac{-5 - 11}{2} \bigg)

\text {Mid point = } \bigg( 2, -8 \bigg)

FInd p:

\text {Mid point = } \bigg( 2, -8 \bigg) =\bigg( 2, p \bigg)

Therefore p = -8

Answer: p = -8
