If p and q vary directly with each other, then find the value of q when p=7 and the constant of variation is 1/6

Solution :-

We know that if p varies directly with q then,

p/q = k

k is the constant of variation.

p = 7, then k = 1/6

⇒ p/q = 1/6

⇒ 7/q = 1/6

Doing cross multiplication.

⇒ (q*1) = (7*6)

⇒ q = 42

7/X = 1/6
cross multiply
so, X × 1 = 7×6
X = 42
