Given :-

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 38cm
  • Breadth of Rectangle = 7cm

 \\

To Find :-

  • Length of the Rectangle

 \\

Solution :-

❏ As we know that, Perimeter of Rectangle is given by [ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 ( Length + Breadth ]

Putting the Values :

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (L + B )

➞ 38 = 2 (Length + 7 )

➞ 38 / 2 = Length + 7

➞ 19 = Length + 7

➞ 19 - 7 = Length

➞ 12cm = Length

Thus Length of Rectangle = 12cm

________________

Verification :

⟾ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (L + B )

⟾ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (12 + 7)

⟾ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 × 19

38 = 38

Hence Verified

Formulas Related to Rectangle:

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2( l + b)
  • Area = Length × Breadth
  • Length = Area / Breadth
  • Breadth = Area / Length
  • Diagonal = √(l)² + (b)²
