Answer:

Given: p divides q

           q divides r

To prove: p divides r

We know that if a divides b then a can be written in form b = c × a where c is any whole no.

⇒ q = a × p ........... (1)

⇒ r = b × q ........... (2)

From (1) put value of q in (2)

we get,

r = b × ( a × p )

r = ( b × a ) × p

r = c × p   , c is a whole no.

⇒ p divides r

Hence Proved

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

if p divides q and q divides r then prove that p divides r...Give ans step by step plz

P divides q

=>  q  = P * m  ( m is integer)

q divides r

=> r =  q * n  ( n is integer)

P divides r

r/P  =  q * n / (q/m)

=> r/p = m * n

=> r/P = integer * integer

=> r/P = integer

=> p divides r
