To Find :  probability of “not E”

Solution:

P(E) = 0.008

=> Probability of occurring of event E  = 0.008

For any event

Probability of Occurring + Probability of not occurring = 1

also probability of an event always lies between 0 and 1 ( including both )

Hence

P ( E)  + P ( not E)  = 1

=> 0.008  + P ( not E)  = 1

=> P ( not E)  = 1  - 0.008

=>  P ( not E)  = 0.992
