P(E)=0.05
P'(E)=1 - P(E)
P'(E)=1 - 0.05
P'(E)=0.95

SOLUTION :

The correct option is (d) : 0.95

Given : P(E) = 0.05

The sum of all the probabilities of all possible outcomes of experiment is 1.

P(Event) + P (not an Event) = 1.

P(E) + P (not E) = 1.

0.05 +  P (not  E) = 1.

P (not  E) = 1 - 0.05

P (not  E) = 0.95

Hence, P (not  E) is  0.95
