Answer:

Required value of P(not E) is 0.85.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here given,P(E)=0.15

We want to find here value of P(E').

But now question is what is the relation between P(E) and P(E').

Let A be a set.

We know,

A∪A' = S \\ and \: A∩A' = Ø

Therefore,

P(A∪A') = P(A) + P(A') = 1

Since

P(A∪A') = P(s) = 1

Where

P(A') = 1 - P(A)

For example,

Let value of P(A) be 9.

Then value of P(A') will be

1 - 9 = - 8

Again let value of P(A') be 5

Then,

P(A') = 1 - P(A) \\ P(A) = 1 - P(A') \\ P(A) = 1 - 5 = - 4

Here given set is E.

Value of P(E) is 0.15.

Now we know P(E')=1-P(E)=1-0.15=0.85
