Given : p is a positive rational number which is not a perfect square then

To Find :   -3√p

Solution:

Real numbers can be divided in 2 categories , Rational , Irrational

Rational numbers can be represented in p/q form where q ≠ 0  , and p , q are integers

p is a positive rational number

Hence √p    is defined

p  is not a perfect square

Hence √p  is irrational

 -3  is rational number

Rational number multiplied by  an irrational number is always a irrational number

Hence - 3 √p   is IRRATIONAL
