Let the angle between the 2 vectors P and Q be X

We know that,

P + Q = √(P² + Q² + 2PQcosX)

P - Q = √(P² + Q² - 2PQcosX)

Since P + Q = P - Q

√(P² + Q² + 2PQcosX) = √(P² + Q² - 2PQcosX)

P² + Q² + 2PQcosX = P² + Q² - 2PQcosX

2PQcosX = - 2PQcosX

2PQcosX + 2PQcosX = 0

4PQcosX = 0

cosX = 0

X = 90°
