Given,
p,q,and r are in gp
so, q^2=rp ::(b^2=ac)
Now , Take log both sides ,
log(q^2)=log(rp)
= 2 log q =log r +log p
For AP the condition is
2b=a+c
so , log p ,log q and log r are in AP
Formula :
log(mn)= log m +log n
log b^a =a log b
HENCE ,PROVE
