Solution :-

we know that,

  • when two statements are connected by 'and' then the compound statement is called conjunction of both statements . It is denoted by :- ∧ .
  • when two statements are connected by 'or' then the compound statement is called disjunction of both statements . It is denoted by :- ∨ .

so,

→ p : we play football = p

→ q : we go for cycling = q

→ compound statement : Either we play football or go for cycling = p ∨ q .
