Answer:

p(x)=2x²+5x-3.

p(1/2) = 2(1/2)² +5(1/2)- 3

         =2(1/4)+ 5/2 -3

         =1/2 +5/2 -3

         =6/2 -3

         =3-3  =0

since the result obtained is 0 p(1/2) is a zero of p(x).
