p (x)=5x^3-2x^2+9

p (-1)=5 (-1)^3-2 (-1)^2+9
=-5-2+9
=-7+9
=2

p (2) = 5 (2)^3-2 (2)^2+9
=40-8+9
=40+1=41

p (-1)+p (2)=2+41=43
