 \textbf {Question} :

If p(x) = x^2 - 2√2x + 1, then find the value of p(2√2).

 \textbf {Answer} :

Given that,

p(x) = {x}^{2} - 2 \sqrt{2} x + 1 \\ \\ p(2 \sqrt{2} ) = {(2 \sqrt{2} )}^{2} - 2 \sqrt{2} \times (2 \sqrt{2} ) + 1\\ \\ p(2 \sqrt{2} ) = 8 - 8 + 1 \\ \\ p(2 \sqrt{2} ) = 1

Thus, p(2√2) = 1.
