p ( 0) = 0^2 +3(0) +1

         = 1

p(-1) = -1^2 +3( -1 ) +1

        = 1-3+1 = -1

so p (0) + p (-1) = 1 + ( -1 ) =  1-1 = 0

P(x) = + 3x + 1

P(0) = 0² + 3 x 0 + 1

0 + 0 + 1 = 1

P(-1) = ( - 1 ) ² + 3 x - 1 + 1

1 - 3 + 1 = - 1

Now , P(0) + P(-1) = 1 + ( - 1 )

1 - 1
