p(x) = x^2 - 4x + 3

Put x = 1/2 in above equation,

p(1/2) = (1/2)^2 - 4(1/2) + 3

= 1/4 - 2 + 3

= 1/4 + 1

= 5/4

Thus, p(1/2) = 5/4

Step-by-step explanation:

p(X)= x2-4x+3. , p(1/2)

p(1/2) = (1/2)-4(1/2)+3

= 1/4-4/2+3

= 1-8/4+3

= -7/4+3

-7+12/4

= 5/4
