ANSWER:

  • Value of the above expression is 4.

GIVEN:

  • P(x) = x²+3x-5

TO FIND:

  • Value of P(2) + P(1)

SOLUTION:

=> P(x) = x²+3x-5

Finding P(2)

=> P(2) = (2)²+3(2) -5

=> P(2) = 4+6-5

=> P(2) = 5

Finding P(1)

=> P(1) = (1)²+3(1) -5

=> P(1) = -1

Now:

P(1)+P(2)

= 5+(-1)

= 4

Value of the above expression is 4.

Given :

  • x² + 3x -5

To Find :

  • p(2) + p(1)

Solution :

Firstly Calculate p(2) :

\dashrightarrow\sf{p(2) ={(2)}^{2}+3(2) -5}

\dashrightarrow\sf{p(2) =4+6-5}

\dashrightarrow\sf{p(2) =10-5}

\dashrightarrow\sf{{ \large{ \bold{ \bold{ \bold{ \orange{p(2)=5}}}}}}}

Then Calculate p(1) :

\dashrightarrow\sf{p(1) ={(1)}^{2}+3(1) -5}

\dashrightarrow\sf{p(1) =1+3-5}

\dashrightarrow\sf{p(1) =4-5}

\dashrightarrow\sf{{ \large{ \bold{ \bold{ \bold{ \purple{p(1) =-5}}}}}}}

Now,

\dashrightarrow\sf{p(2) +p(1) }

\dashrightarrow\sf{5+(-1)}

\dashrightarrow\sf{5-1}

\dashrightarrow\sf\bold{4}

So, the value of p(2) and p(1) is 4..
