Step-by-step explanation:

P(1)= 1³-1=1-1=0

P(-1)=(-1)³-1= -1-1=-2

therefore,P(1)+P(-1)=0+(-2)= -2

p(x) = {x}^{3} - 1

p(1) = (1) {}^{3} - 1

p(1) = 1 - 1 = 0

p( - 1) = {( - 1)}^{3} - 1

p( - 1) = - 1 - 1 = - 2

 \therefore \: p(1) = 0, \: p( - 1) = - 2

p(1) + p( - 1) = 0 + ( - 2) = - 2
