If p(x) = x⁴ + x³– 4x + 3, evaluate p(2) – p(-1) + p(1/2) .​

If p(x) = x⁴ + x³– 4x + 3

then,

  1. p(2)= (2)^4+(2)^3-4(2)+3

=19

2. p(-1)= (-1)^4+(-1)^3-4(-1)+3

= 7

3. p(1/2)= (1/2)^4+(1/2)^3-4(1/2)+3

=1.1875

So, p(2) – p(-1) + p(1/2)= 19+7+1.1875= 27.1875
