Let r be the radius of the circle & a besides of square, then

2πr=4a

[ar=2π4=π2]

Now AreaofsquareAreaofcircle=a2πr2=π(ar)2

Using ar=π2, we get

AsquareAcircle=π(π2)2=π24×π=π4

Hence the ratio of Area of a circle to that of a square is π4.
