I think firstly u need to know that progesterone is released by corpus luteum when placenta is not formed . When placenta is formed , it releases progesterone.
Now coming to ur question.....
if we insert more progesterone.... it will lead to more thicking of endometrium..... which cause difficulty in parturition ....
otherwise it is non sense think to insert progesterone.
But it can be inserted by the doctor when level progesterone decreases ..... and placenta is unable to provide progesterone

getxessp7c4dj: OK... can you explain... which causes fertilized ovum to implant??
navneet1109singh: it doesn't make any sense
navneet1109singh: let me explain u that
navneet1109singh: if ovum is fertilized then it is mandatory to do implantation .... But sometimes due to weakening of endometrium, zygote is not able to implant itself in the wall of endometrium
navneet1109singh: and abortion takes place
