if radius of circle is 6 cm and length of an arc is 12 cm.Find area of sector

Radius = 6 cm

Diameter = 6×2 = 12 cm

Length of given arc = 12 cm

Diameter is the biggest arc of a circle

Therefore, given arc is the Diameter.

Area of sector will be area of half circle

Therefore, Area of sector =
 \frac{\pi {r}^{2} }{2}

 = \frac{22 \times 6 \times 6}{ 7 \times 2}

 = \frac{396}{7} {cm}^{2}
