$percentage \: of \: money \: left = \frac{money \: left}{total \: amount} \times 100 \\ 25\% = \frac{600}{x} \times 100 \\ \frac{600}{25} \times 100 = x \\ x = 600 \times 4 \\ x = 2400$

So total money in the beginning was Rs.2400.
