The resistivity of a material is directly proportional to the length of the material and inversely proportional to the area of cross-section.

R = ρl/A where,

R = Resistance of the conductor

ρ = Resistivity of the conductor

l = length of the conductor

A = Area of the cross-section of the conductor.

  • Putting the given values in above equations,

⇒   R = (0.021)(1000) / (10)

⇒   R = 21/10

⇒   R = 2.1

Hence, Resistance of the winding is R = 2.1 Ω
