If root 5-root 2/root 5 +root 2 then find the value of a-b root 10

LHS = (√5-√2)/(√5+√2)

= [(√5-√2)(√5-√2)]/[(√5+√2)(√5-√2)]

= ( √5-√2 )²/[(√5)² - (√2 )²]

= ( 5 + 2 - 2•√5•√2 )/(5-2)

= (7-2√10)/3

= 7/3 - (2/3)√10

= a - b√10 ( given )

Therefore ,

a = 7/3,

b = 2/3
