Answer:

s-a+s-b+s-c=5+10+1=16

3s-(a+b+c)=16

3s-2s=16

s=16

The value of semiperimeter (s) = 16

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

(s - a) = 5 cm, (s - b) = 10 cm and  (s - c) = 1 cm

To find, the value of semiperimeter (s) = ?

(s - a) + (s - b) + (s - c) = 10 + 5 + 1

⇒ s - a + s - b + s - c = 5 + 10 + 1 = 16

⇒ 3s - a  - b  - c = 16

⇒ 3s - (a + b + c) = 16       ...... (1)

We know that,

Perimeter, 2s = a + b + c

Now equation (1) becomes, we get

3s - 2s = 16

⇒ s = 16

∴ The value of semiperimeter (s) = 16
