If salivary amylase is lacking in the saliva, which event in the mouth cavity will be affected?

Answer:

The Alkaline salivary amylase is responsible for starch digestion in the mouth. 30% of the starch gets digested. If it is lacking then the starch digestion in mouth doesn't occurs..
