HERE, I AM HOLDING "THETAS" AS "x".

______________________________

GIVEN,

sec²x + tan x = p

=> sec²x = p - tan x.
______________________________

Now, we can say that :

sec \: x = \sqrt{p - tan \: x}
______________________________

now \: cos \: x = \frac{1}{sec \: x}

 = \frac{1}{ \sqrt{p - tan \: x} }
