given

secA- tanA = k

we know

 {sec}^{2} A -  {tan}^{2} A = 1 \\  \\ (secA - tanA)(secA + tanA) = 1 \\  \\ k(secA + tanA) = 1 \\  \\ secA + tanA =  \frac{1}{k}
