fifth term (a5) = 17
we know that general formula of a term in ap is a+(n-1)d
therefore, a2=a+d 8=a+d
a5=a+4d 17=a+4d
solving the two equations simultaneously....
we get....d=3
therefore, a=5
thus the 19th term (a19) = a+18d = 5 + 18x3 = 5 + 54 = 59
